Jessi Lawless revealed she's planning to end her marriage with Jenna Jameson less than a year after their wedding.

In a video captioned "It's done" and shared on social media April 16, Lawless, 40, said, "There are a lot of rumors going around that Jenna and I are getting a divorce. And I'm making this video to confirm that."

Lawless later clarified that she filed for an annulment that "shouldn't take long to finalize." She and Jameson, 50, an actress and former adult film star, got married in Las Vegas on May 23, 2023, after getting engaged a month prior.

"I told her at the beginning of our relationship that I was drawing a hard line and that drinking had led to so many problems in her life that I would not tolerate it at all under any circumstances," said Lawless.

Lawless, who is an entrepreneur and social media personality, added that Jameson recently went to Chicago for her first in-person event since they got married.

"This is the first time she's been away from me. I've been keeping her on the straight and narrow," she said, then claiming, "She goes to Chicago and she starts drinking. And then when I confronted her about it, she was definitely trying to lie about it until I told her that I had pictures."

"She admitted it, obviously," claimed Lawless, who admitted, "I didn't even really have the pictures. I just told her I did. I knew she was drinking."

Lawless said in the video that Jameson had "no remorse" and wanted to "blame" Lawless, who said, "I don't know how it's my fault. Maybe I shouldn't have had such high expectations."

"I'm sure you'll see this, Jenna," Lawless concluded in the video. "I love you with all of my heart. And I really hope the best for you."

Shortly after Lawless's video, Jameson wrote on her Instagram Stories simply, "I keep it classy."

When reached by PEOPLE, a rep for Jameson declined to comment on her marriage. Jameson, however, says, "Research has shown that empathy and understanding are better responses to addiction than judgment, shaming and moralizing."

“Expressing your unconditional love and support may be one of the kindest things you can do. Let them know that you are there for them — relapse or not, 10 days sober or 200," she adds.

“Unfortunately in the past, due to cultural attitudes surrounding addiction, tactics such as shaming, humiliating, shouting and 'attack therapy' were commonplace," says Jameson. "Currently, rehab centers recognize that this approach would constitute malpractice and would have no place in the delicate process of treatment. It is much more likely that clients will experience greater success when empathy is placed at the forefront of the client care process."
